What good bloggers do? !

For me blogging is something where you can show yourself, your personality, attitude, skills etc. to the world outside. Obviously, a blog is something very personal and therefore it needs to be well considered what you post and how you design it. I am personally not entirely satisfied with the way my blog looks like at the moment and I would like to restore it in the coming semester. First of all, I thought a new background image would make everything a little bit up. As travelling is probably my greatest hobby, I’ve chosen the VW bus which has become a symbol for wanderlust and spontaneous trips.
Additionally I read through some posts of my classmates and was hugely impressed. Some people do really have a talent for finding not only interesting but inspiring topics to write about. One example is Josepha’s blog. She designed her blog pretty simple but it still has something unique in it. She has travelled some breath-taking places in the world and to be honest, I am really jealous. By adding pictures she underlines her words and gives you an idea of what she has explored. In generally, what she is writing about goes hand in hand with her PERSONALITY and that is for me a MUST HAVE for a blog. You will never get a feeling of disinterest or boredom if a post is authentic.
I also follow David’s extraordinary “blog’n’roll’. You can already see in the title that he is a creative person. He takes his time to create a post which isn’t only outstanding for its content but also for its design. Each post has something unprecedented in it. So other keywords for a good blog are definitely CREATIVITY and ORIGINALITY.
Still, I think you can also overdo it. There are also people who have 3 different videos and 5 pics in every single post which is just too much for me.
So, as already mentioned a blog has to present yourself. You shouldn’t try to impress by compulsively trying to find something interesting or outstanding to write about; but rather by putting a spin on your individuality and your experiences. If you do so and maybe add some creative little details (e.g. by designing an authentic  background) you have a good chance to have a fascinating blog!

I found out for me personally that I need to keep an eye on my blog’s design. I tend to not really care about where I put my pictures or which colour I use for the title of a blog. That let it seem as if I weren’t really passionate about what I am writing about; and that’s absolutely not the case!
To get to an end, I am looking forward to the new semester and the time I will spend on improving my blog!
